WHAT TO EXPECT

Testing When Clinically Appropriate

A focused evaluation designed to look at the full picture.

Computerized ADHD testing may be used when clinically appropriate to add another piece of information to the evaluation. Testing is considered alongside your history, symptoms, and clinical presentation rather than used by itself to make a diagnosis.

Review Your History & Concerns

Review Results & Discuss Next Steps

We'll review the information you completed before your visit and talk through the symptoms or concerns that brought you in, including how they may be affecting school, work, relationships, organization, focus, or daily functioning.

Christina will review the findings with you and talk through what they may mean. If ADHD or another concern is identified, you'll discuss treatment options, medication when appropriate, follow-up care, or coordination with another provider.

ABOUT ADHD TESTING

Testing is one part of the evaluation—and coverage can vary.

When computerized ADHD testing is clinically appropriate, it may be included as part of the evaluation process. Insurance coverage for testing varies by plan, and some patients may have an out-of-pocket cost for the testing portion of the visit. EndlessWell will review expected costs when possible before testing is completed.

Some patients may prefer to have a primary care provider or pediatrician manage medication. When appropriate, EndlessWell can discuss findings and help coordinate the next step in care.

AFTER YOUR EVALUATION

The next step depends on what your evaluation shows.

An ADHD evaluation does not automatically lead to one treatment plan. Recommendations are based on your symptoms, history, test findings when used, preferences, and overall clinical picture.

If medication is appropriate and desired, Christina can discuss options, prescribe when clinically appropriate, and monitor how treatment is working over time.

Follow-up visits are used to review symptoms, medication response, side effects, functioning, and any changes in treatment needs. Once a controlled-medication regimen is stable, in-person follow-up is generally planned about every three months.

WHEN AN ADHD EVALUATION MAY HELP

You do not need to be certain it is ADHD before you come in.

An ADHD evaluation may be helpful when difficulties with focus, organization, impulsivity, time management, task completion, or everyday functioning have become frustrating or disruptive—whether these concerns are new, longstanding, or something you are only beginning to understand.

  • Difficulty staying focused or completing tasks

  • Trouble with organization, time management, or forgetfulness

  • Feeling overwhelmed by routines, responsibilities, or competing demands

  • Concerns affecting school, work, relationships, or daily functioning

  • Questions about a previous ADHD diagnosis or treatment plan

  • Wondering whether ADHD, another concern, or a combination of factors may be contributing

WHEN YOU'RE READY

You can start with questions.

You do not need to know whether ADHD is the answer before scheduling an evaluation. The goal is to understand what you have been experiencing, look carefully at the full picture, and talk through what may be helpful next.
